SmokeTimer is developed and published by SolutionsphereIT. This Privacy Policy explains how the SmokeTimer Android application handles information.

Summary

SmokeTimer is designed to work without an account. Smoking records and settings are stored locally on the user’s device. SmokeTimer does not sell personal information and does not transmit smoking history or settings to SolutionsphereIT.

Information Stored on the Device

When a user chooses to use SmokeTimer, the app may store the following information locally on that user’s device:

• Cigarette log timestamps and history
• Included or excluded break information
• Daily cigarette targets and waking-hour settings
• Smoking baseline information
• Cigarette pack price and pack-size settings
• Progress, statistics, milestones, and estimated spending or savings derived from the information entered by the user
• App preferences

This information is used only to provide SmokeTimer’s tracking, statistics, progress, widget, target, and educational features.

Data Collection and Sharing

The current version of SmokeTimer:

• Does not require an account or sign-in
• Does not send smoking history or settings to SolutionsphereIT servers
• Does not include advertising
• Does not use personal data for advertising or marketing
• Does not sell or share personal or sensitive user data with third parties
• Does not use third-party analytics services

The Android home-screen widget reads the same locally stored SmokeTimer information on the user’s device to display the latest logged time and support quick logging.

Data Storage and Security

SmokeTimer data is stored locally within the app’s private storage on the user’s Android device. Because the current version does not transmit this information to SolutionsphereIT, no smoking-history database is maintained by SolutionsphereIT.

Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their devices. Device-level protections, operating-system security, backups, or other services controlled by the user or device provider may affect locally stored data.

Data Retention and Deletion

Locally stored data remains on the device until the user deletes individual records where the app provides that option, clears SmokeTimer’s app data through Android settings, or uninstalls the app.

Because SolutionsphereIT does not receive or maintain the user’s SmokeTimer history, SolutionsphereIT cannot retrieve, restore, or remotely delete that local information.

Health Information and Disclaimer

SmokeTimer is a self-management and educational tool intended to help adults track smoking patterns and gradually reduce smoking. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Users should consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding health concerns or smoking cessation treatment.

Children’s Privacy

SmokeTimer is intended for adults aged 18 and older. It is not directed to children, and SolutionsphereIT does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when SmokeTimer’s features or data practices change. Any updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes will be reflected in the app or store listing when appropriate.
